4 cheeseburger and sauteed onion

by Kagame Karekezi Fred

Has this ever happened to you…. You’re really hungry and just haven’t had time to eat yet.
Then you smell that delicious smell of meat cooking on a BBQ….not your BBQ but someone else’s.
And it smells sooo good.

Then it happens, you go into starving mode.
And you start to crave a hamburger….no, a cheeseburger.
A cheeseburger with American cheese melted all over it.
And smothered in onions….no, smothered in onions sautéed in red wine.
A cheeseburger smothered in onions that are sautéed in red wine on a bun.
Not just any kind of bun but a big honkin Kaiser roll.
Well just in case this ever happens to you, I have just the recipe.  And you can cook it up right in a skillet.
Let’s check it out.

If there’s not a little grease or oil left in the pan after cooking the burgers, drizzle in some olive oil and heat the pan on medium heat.
17-add-rolls-to-pan
Add the rolls face down on the pan.  Move the rolls around the pan so they absorb any leftover remnants from cooking the burgers.

Cook until the bread starts to brown (about 3 to 4 minutes).

Add the cheeseburger on the bottom side of the roll.
